Inner West Parents sitting co-op

Ever wanted to be able to go out without having to pay too much money to get a little break? our bubs are the most important people in the world, but we all need a break and sometime to ourselves and loved one. For those nights out or short breaks for us parents. We've run out of friends we can call on favours & feel bad cos we'd rather be out with them instead. And most of us don't have family in town.

Sydney's cost of living takes a toll on some of us; juggling mortgages, trying to live a 'normal' life, and over $20 an hour for a nanny/babysitter?! sometimes all we need is a little help from the community - why does getting help have to be only for those who can afford it?

Save money on paying a babysitter by meeting other parents who are willing to work on a great schedule for both of you!

Let's start our own network of parents who can meet & help each other with a babysitting swap network! we might even find precious friendships amid this.

Single or coupled parents and carers/guardians with their own infants or children below the age 12 are welcome.

Preference for families to swap, who live in the following areas in the Inner West:
* Leichhardt area - Annandale, Balmain, Balmain East, Birchgrove, Leichhardt, Lilyfield, Rozelle
and surrounds (suburbs near these areas are also welcome):
* Ashfield, Dobroyd Point, Haberfield, Summer Hill, Drummoyne, Five Dock, Dulwich Hill, Petersham, Stanmore, Camperdown, Newtown, Glebe, Marrickville

Please note that this list is NOT final. I can certainly add any other Inner West suburbs especially if there are enough parents willing/able to travel or live close by to help.

3. Attend the next available Meet & Greet to introduce yourself and meet a few other parents. We hold monthly Meet & Greets on the 2nd Saturday of every month. Please join us and see event details for venue.

If members have a concern for security for their child/ren, we can consider the co-op eligibility to include using the NSW Working With Children Check Volunteer form https://check.kids.nsw.gov.au/volunteer-declaration.php
