A co-op like this basically just means several moms getting together and agreeing to take care of each other's children in exchange for the same services. It costs each mom nothing and they all benefit from it. If you have older kids, this is especially nice because many times they entertain themselves! Another nice benefit of this type of child care exchange is that you are leaving your kids with someone you trust: another mom.
Remember: there is nothing wrong with needing time away from your children. It doesn't mean you love them less or that you don't want to be with them. Everyone needs a break or time with just their spouse. Finding ways to use a child care exchange is a great and affordable way to meet this goal!
