Offutt Babysitting Co-op

A babysitting co-op to serve the Active Duty military families at Offutt AFB. As military, we often don't have the luxury of family nearby to help with childcare. 'Single parenting' during TDYs and deployments can be overwhelming. A babysitting cooperative is a great and affordable resource to make our lives as military and as parents a little easier.

Members must:
-be Active Duty military families attached to Offutt AFB
-Live within 20 min drive of Offutt AFB
-Complete the joining process in full (detailed under "how to join")
-Agree to follow all rules of the co-op and participate in occasional get-togethers to build community.

Membership in this co-op will be limited to 20 families to maximize trust and community. Once the 20 familiy threshold is reached, the coop will be split geographically to form two coops, and so forth.

ALL POLICIES subject to change going forward if approved by a majority vote of active co-op members.

In order to join, potential members must:
-Complete a background check for all adults in the home over 18 (other than AD spouses, who already have security clearances)-Complete a quick and easy home inspection to review safety measures prior to accepting sits
-Fill out joining paperwork to include proof of insurance, emergency permission forms, and letter of intent to join.
-Pay $10 dues annually which will cover administrative costs for the co-op (printing, supplies for get-togethers)
-Commit to attending one get together a month in order to form a trusting community and get to know the people who will be watching our kids!
