Hudson Childcare Exchange

Hello! Welcome to the Hudson Child Care Exchange

We are a newly forming group of parents of young children who would benefit from a shared babysitting system. As we all know, there is a major lack of adequate and affordable child care in our communities. A co-op, or “babysitting exchange” addresses the need for reliable, safe, “free” childcare for those of us who have limited financial capabilities but perhaps a flexible quantity of time and/or energy for caregiving to share.

This cooperative is open to families in Hudson and in neighboring towns. We have families with very young children and older ones too. It's a diverse group of parents with diverse needs! Ideally, you will line in or nearby Hudson, have children between the ages of 1 and 13, a clean background, experience with caregiving, patience, a safe home and availability to offer babysitting as well as a need for trustworthy caregivers in your community.

In order to be eligible for participation, you must fill out an application, create a profile, meet with an organizer to discuss your needs.
