How to Join
To apply for membership:
An applicant must have a complete Profile on SittingAround.com. This includes telephone, street address and email address. Such private contact information will be shown only to those other Co-Op Members with whom the applicant (once accepted as a Co-Op Member) chooses to trade a favor or job.
An applicant must meet with at least one of the Co-Op Leaders, and must be prepared to show her home and introduce her family to such Co-Op Leader(s).
After accepting an invitation to join a Co-Op, an applicant must, within 30 days, edit her Profile to upload her Emergency Contact Information ("ECI"). This is to provide the emergency contact information needed in case a child needs immediate medical attention. The ECI forms part of the applicant's private information which is disclosed only in the specific instance described above.
