Woodstock AP Co-Op

Looking for other Parents and guardians that are willing to trade baby sitting in the Woodstock Portland Area (and possibly, Sellwood, Brentwood-Darlington, and northern Milwaukie). We want to find similarly minded people who believe in attachment parenting (Dr. Sears) and gentle discipline.

I'd want to get to know other families with play dates before we get into babysitting. My son is 2 but I'd like to open the co-op to children 6 months to age 12. The co-op would be based on a points system, you earn points for sitting (TBD as we got more members) that you spend to have your child watched.

This is a great alternative to paid pre-school and day care. A co-op can allow parents to run errands, deal with emergencies, or have a date night without paying big money for a sitter! You can use it as little or as much as you want. :)

Parents and legal gaurdians of children ages 6 months-12 years old who live in Woodstock, Sellwood, or Brentwood Darlington, Portland, Or. As we grow we can change the borders of our area bigger or samller depending on our needs.

Join by emailing Allison to set up a play date. Have a playdate at my house and yours. As the group grows we will change how we deal with new members so that more members may be involved. I think a co-op meeting/play date once a month to approve new members is the best.
