About

Can't afford services at the CDC? Do you have appointments to go to and no support with child care? Are you a foster parent looking for respite care?

Air Force Spouses Co-op is the solution to military family needs. Military families have first priority to membership, however, the co-op is not limited to just military members.

The co-op will ask all members to participate in giving and receiving sitting services. All ages and service levels of children are welcome.

Eligibility

Be willing to submit a background check.

Must have someone in the household that is 21 or older to provide sitting services. If your are between the ages of 18-20 and would like to join please contact a moderator as additional training hours will be required of you.

Must be willing to participate in a home visit/home study.

Must be willing to go through initial training including CPR and First aid (total of approximately 8-12 hours of interval training).

In order to provide availability and convenience, we are only accepting members that reside within a 15 mile radius of Lackland AFB only.

How to Join

We will have a monthly open house to provide information on becoming a member. The monthly open house will also be a way to network with other existing members and discuss any concerns or upcoming events for the co-op.

At your first Co-op open house please bring proof of residency and proof of age. You will be asked to fill out a questionnaire at that time. Specific training and a home study will be required before earning hours toward your sitting services.

Please contact the Moderator to being the application process if you are unable to make it to any of the open houses scheduled in the events section.
